This weekend, Denver’s Cherry Creek North becomes the vibrant hub of the Smash Fine Arts Festival, a highly anticipated event that draws art lovers from across the nation. The festival promises a rich display of artistic talent with over 35 artists showcasing their work in a variety of mediums including oil paintings, photography, and sculptures made of metal, wood, and jewelry.
Anthony Constantino Jr., the event’s director, expressed his excitement about the quality and diversity of the attendees. “We are proud to present distinguished artists from various parts of the country, including talent from Florida to California,” he said.
Notable artists include Tate Hamilton, known for her minimalist oil paintings using a five-color palette. Hamilton’s unique approach captures enchanting cityscapes from across the United States and Europe, which she shared in a recent discussion with CBS News First at 4.
The festival is not just about the visual arts; it also features live musical performances, creating a well-rounded cultural experience. “The festival is designed to be a high-level event that celebrates the arts in a dynamic environment,” said Constantino Jr., who founded the festival in 2017 and has seen it grow significantly over the years.
The event, which will be held at Fillmore Plaza in Cherry Creek North, is scheduled for August 10-11, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This annual gathering not only highlights artistic excellence, but also fosters a community of artists and art lovers.
