In April 2024, Edwards produced a stunning performance, scoring 51 points in a 130-121 win over the Wizards. Shooting 58.6 percent from the field, he made 29 attempts, went 11-for-11 from the free throw line, and shot 46.2 percent from beyond the arc. This feat ranks him among 25 players selected in NBA history to score 50 points in a game before turning 23.

One of Edwards’ most memorable dunks came in January against the Grizzlies. Paired with Xavier Tillman at the top of the key, Edwards executed a flawless fake that knocked Tillman off balance, allowing Edwards to flip the ball up to the backboard and catch it in mid-air for a stunning alley-oop.

3. Dominant performance in the Conference Semifinals against the Nuggets

Defying all expectations, Edwards led the Timberwolves past the defending champion Nuggets in the conference semifinals. Highlighted by two 40-point games in a seven-game series, he averaged 27.7 points, 5.7 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game while shooting 50 percent from the field. His 44 points in Game 4 set a franchise record. Edwards now holds four of the six 40-point games in Minnesota playoff history.

4. Historical Stats Against the Trail Blazers

In January of his sophomore season (2021-22), Edwards achieved a unique stat line never seen before in NBA history. He scored 40 points, grabbed nine rebounds, recorded three steals, blocked three shots and made five 3-pointers in a single game, leading Minnesota to a 109-107 victory.
